Stormwater
What is stormwater?
Rainwater and snowmelt that does not soak into the ground is referred to as stormwater. In urban areas, precipitation runs off of hard surfaces like roofs and roads. Stormwater carries with it pollutants such as trash, dirt, and oily residue as it travels downstream to streams, rivers and lakes.
