Liquid Lecture

January 16, 2025    6pm - 7pm

Brewshed® Alliance Liquid Lecture

We're back to our regular programming for the Brewshed® Alliance Liquid Lectures: third Thursdays of each month hosted at various breweries throughout the watershed. Open to the community with a focus on watershed health, education, and engagement. Free to attend.

Lecture by Maggie Gaddis on native plants, Jan 16 at Voodoo Brewing Co. in Colorado Springs. Attendees get $1 off beers.

Maggie Gaddis, Executive Director of the Colorado Native Plant Society (CoNPS), will introduce the Rocky Mountain Native Plant Materials Program. A program of the USDA United States Forest Service (USFS) Region 2 - assisted by CoNPS and the Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP) - focuses efforts on native seed collection for use in ecological restoration of our public lands. Staff and volunteers collect only native seed on USFS lands in the Region 2 five-state area (volunteer opportunity!). Maggie will take us on a photo tour of all the native species the program collects. Stick around for a giveaway at the end of native seeds for your home landscape and FCWD swag.

As always, attendees will receive $1 off beers. Please RSVP to fountaincreekoutreach@gmail.com. Drop-ins welcome!

Cheers!
