Fountain Creek Hydrologic Monitoring

The Fountain Creek watershed is one of the most heavily monitored watersheds in the nation due to its role in a highly complex water sharing system. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) maintains a robust data collection network, which acts as a backbone for intensive interpretive studies, as well as for real-time water management decisions. The USGS collaborates with federal, state, city, and utility partners to monitor streamflow, water quality, precipitation, sediment, aquatic biology, and geomorphic channel changes throughout the watershed.
