Angie Schirtzinger
Growing up in Ohio, Angie spent much of her time outdoors, kayaking on rivers and exploring the Great Lakes of Michigan. Her love for the natural world blossomed into a dedication to environmental advocacy. Angie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management with an emphasis on Outdoor Recreation and Environmental Education from Ohio University. She has over eight years of experience in program coordination and outreach for environmental education, sustainability, and food justice initiatives. In August 2024, she began her role as Outreach Coordinator for the Fountain Creek Watershed District. Angie is passionate about mindful practices of reciprocity with the natural world which shapes her approach to fostering human-to-nature connections. She has a profound love for butterflies and is dedicated to the vital interrelationship between watersheds, native plants, and pollinators for ecological health. In her free time, Angie enjoys practicing yoga, exploring the mountains, gardening, art, and live music!
